James Baird ICPA MIoD
As a seasoned professional with a rich history in finance, James has the expertise and dedication to offer the best advice and support to our clients.
James qualified with the AAT and is now registered as an Independent Certified Practicing Accountant, as well as being a full member of the Institute of Directors.
Before founding Baird Consulting, James worked in wide variety of finance roles for a number of companies, both large and small, in a broad range of industries. This means that he brings a wealth of experience to the advice he gives, from a diverse background that equips him with unique insights, particularly beneficial for for businesses of all sizes, whether you’re just starting out as a micro or small-sized enterprise or for larger corporations looking to expand.
But James is more than just numbers. As the current Chairman of Horley Business Guild, he champions the importance of businesses contributing to their local communities. Whether it’s through sponsoring local events or encouraging staff volunteering, James is at the forefront of community engagement.
His commitment extends beyond the office, as he actively serves as a trustee and treasurer for his local Sea Cadet Corps, as well as a School Governor for his local secondary school, and has previously served as a local councillor. When he’s not balancing books or serving the community, James is also a keen cuban salsa dancer and enjoys watching rugby (Harlequins & England!)
Andrew Baird MBE
Andrew is a chartered banker, with over 30 years experience in management consulting, and mergers & acquisitions. He has served on the boards of businesses and is currently Chair of a FinTech startup.
He was awarded his MBE in 2022 for his extensive services given to further education, having served as a college governor for many years, including a number of years as Chairman. Latterly he also served as a National Leading Governor for the Deaprtment for Education, being “parachuted” into colleges with governance problems, in order to resolve them.
